Hey Steph! I ended up canceling the interview. Maybe the experiences you shared helped me be more open to listening to my gut instinct. Something felt wrong about it, so I declined the interview. Based on the rude response I received, I'm glad I did it. Plus, my significant other needed a last-minute ride for medical tests and I was able to do it (couldn't have if I kept that meeting). Funny how things work out. Hoping your situation works out in a *good* way that you didn't expect. :)

Good luck with the possible new gig, Jesaka! I have such a terrible history of leaping before I look when I'm going through a period of desperation. It makes extricating myself from the situation that much more difficult. Ugh.

Your frankness is so refreshing, Steph. That sounds like a frustrating situation. Kudos for trying to turn it around with 1/2 days. Thanks for sharing your experience. I thought of your post earlier, when I booked a meeting that turned out to be an "interview" by the end of the call. Although I have my doubts, I'm going to go. With this as a reminder, I'm prepared to ask lots of questions and really weigh the opportunity before saying "yes."
