Oh. my. god. An embarrassing amount of time has passed since you all commented here. And I hope you know that your comments are much appreciated. :) It does seem that saying yes to life more often (as corny as that sounds) and stepping away from the computer every once in awhile (so. hard.) did, indeed, refresh me. I feel as if I've been so insulated these past two years, and all this getting out is good to me. Hurrah for personal time!

Isn't it amazing how reinvigorated you feel when you've totally turned your back on your work? I know that's what weekends are for, but I always find myself using them to catch up on work. Just last weekend, I couldn't do it- I so needed time off from work - and I indulged myself. I relaxed. Monday was so much easier - I was anxious to dig back in, instead of feeling like I needed a break.

On the contrary, I'd say that it sounds like you had a *very* productive weekend. Spending time catching up with friends, cleaning up your condo, and relaxing are all productive pursuits, because you'll be able to start up again on Monday morning feeling refreshed and relaxed. You might even stumble upon a cool trend or topic for an article while you've stepped away from your laptop. Oh, and thanks for the link love!
